General Description:

Enneagram point 1 is a body type and is centered in asserting their existence via being a good and moral person. As opposed to some e6's (also a compliant/seperego type) they are not as concerned with being a 'good citizen' or always doing good for others based on the standard of 'others', ones are primarily concerned with doing good based of their body's sense of rightness. Something my enneagram 1 sister always says is, 'Ugh it just doesn't feel right' or 'It physically hurts seeing you do things that way... let me fix it'.

Ones are know for their critques of society, objects, and people individually based off of personal standards, that may or may not line up with the cultures' standards. Ones can either have a 2 or 9 wing, both of which are positive outlook types, giving all enneagram ones an optimitic edge to their cutting critiques of the world. Quite similar to their fellow frustration types (4 and 7) they experience deep disdain and frustration for many things but feel it through the body, and as a body type, need to assert their goodness by invoking good in the world to 'right' the wrongs their frustration outlook perceives. This makes ones some of the best reformers of society and rule/law makers. At their best, their dedication to making wrongs right can make them some of the greatest reformers of the world. At their worst, they can be almost heartless in their critiques of the world and block out any external output and proceed to do whatever they perceive to be right regardless of some of the negative results.
