Fashion Trends the bratz would LOVE
Have you ever tried a new fashion look and thought ".... dang, this is giving (insert icon name)? Well, you're not alone, because that is my thought everyday! The Bratz constantly support individualism and expressing yourself through your fashion sense - and I love it! So, in the age of Generation Z's growing interest in bringing trends back, and expressing themselves boldy and fiercely, I thought it would be great to factor in some of the opinions that I think the Bratz girls would have!
This one is is a major 'duh' moment! The girls love a chunky platform, and the occasional black metal boot when going for the punk look! This trend is great for those hoping to make themselves taller. Though, tall people (like me) shouldn't fret, cuz you can rock them too! BE YOU! I love big boots like this, whether knee high, ankle, or in the middle- they all manage to lengthen your body, and help you exude this bold confident look on its own!
Bratz girl: I think Jade or Sasha would love this trend the most!
CROCHET HATS
I love these hats and I know the girls with a passion for fashion would love them to! There is something so beautiful and unique about a DIY chic look that is unmatched. I think these colourful crochet hats, some with more spunky designs than in the images I've provided, add new life to a look! ( fun fact, over the past two months, I have crochetted five hats :))
Bratz girl: Definetly up Jade or Yasmin's alley (leaning more Yasmin because of the boho chic look she's got going on!)
CORSETS
I love how corsets are being used not only as a piece for layering, but also -as shown shown by the beautiful people above- as a top of its own. This look is a personal favourite of mine on this list, I am very excited to get my own corset and try something new with it! I especially love how, in the second picture displayed above, theres this monochromatic look going on and the arm sleeves and pants are very similar shades, meaning the corset pops out as a statement piece which I think properly embodies the power corsets have on a fit. SIDENOTE: I am also so for the newfound realization that corsets weren't just woman-hating torture devices, and that they were actually something women loved, it was just politicized against the, :( However, learning history and reshaping our perspectives is always a beneficial time!
Bratz Girl: I'll confidently give this one to jade! But Sasha or Chloe might want in on this look every now and then.
LAYERING
I was very particular in picking this image because there is a big difference between wearing tons of layers and actually 'artistically' layering. This outfit reminds me of the bratz majorly becuase of the short skirt, almost gossip girl look which is acccentuated by the knee high socks just out of the frame. This layering where the innermost layer is longest, progressing to the outermost layer being the shortest is very visually pleasing.
Bratz girl: Chloe seems like someone to love this, I bet in the future I could find a screengrab of her wearing something very similar!
That's all for this week: In the future I do want to try remaking some outfits (Bratz and more), adding my own touches etc. So look forward to that fun, and remember two things.
